About Us
We specialize in professional Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) consulting services and waste management solutions.
Our primary markets include the US and Mexico providing services to private industry in both countries, and federal government entities and education sector in the US.
Our company name “Adastra” was formed from the Latin words ad + astra, meaning “to the stars” to signify aspiring to greatness in our area of expertise.
Company History

Founded in 1992 in El Paso, TX with uninterrupted services since then.

Corporate image re-organization in 2007 when the current company name was introduced.

Established a branch in Mexico in 2009.

Introduction of waste management solutions in Mexico in 2010.

International expansion to other Spanish-speaking countries like Spain and Nicaragua in 2019.

First Federal Government contract in the US obtained in 2020.

Certifications
In 2020 we expanded to government services and obtained our 8(a) certification from the Small Business Administration, which is a Federal contracting and training program for experienced small business owners who are socially and economically disadvantaged. We are also currently certified by the State of Texas as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Historically Underutilized Business enterprise (State HUB).

What sets our firm apart from others for international projects is that the scope of work and project approach is defined and monitored by the US Director of International Affairs whom will make sure common US professional work practices are followed for any work in Mexico (or in any other country). Our work in Mexico is conducted by experienced personnel from our Mexican branch and key personnel is fully bilingual.
Final reports are typically reviewed by senior US personnel as part or our QA/QC process to ensure the highest standard has been followed. This is how we can be very competitive in our rates without sacrificing quality. We provide in-depth knowledge of the Mexican regulatory framework performing under US environmental consulting standards.
